Full Body Massage

 

What is a full-body massage?

As the name would suggest, a full-body massage works your entire body from top to toe. This means I will be using a range of different movements, techniques and levels of pressure to relieve tension and stress across all parts of your body.

While I will be able to tailor your session to your needs, a full-body massage typically covers (for those who don’t know):

  • Your head, including the temples, crown, scalp and muscles at the back of your head.
  • Your neck, including the nape and trapezius (a.k.a. The long muscles that run down the sides and connect to your back)
  • Your shoulders, including along the collar bones, shoulder blades and upper back.
  • Your arms and hands
  • Your upper and lower back, an area that commonly holds stubborn tension and tightness.
  • Your legs, including your buttocks, glutes, tights, calves and feet.

I take requests for tailored massages for specific parts of your body that you would prefer I work with for a longer amount of time, and you can also request I do not touch a particular part of your depending maybe because of pain or maybe you just aren’t comfortable with that part.

One of the immediate benefits of massage is a feeling of deep relaxation and calm. This occurs because massage prompts the release of endorphins – the brain chemicals (neurotransmitters) that produce feelings of wellbeing.

Deep Tissue massage

 

What is a deep tissue massage?

Deep tissue massage is a type of massage technique which uses deep pressure. Combining slow strokes and notable finger pressure, the purpose is to release the tension and tightness held deeply in your muscles and your connective tissues.

A deep tissue massage will typically focus on your primary areas of discomfort. This will typically be the back, neck, shoulders, buttocks and legs. However, it is also used on the arms, for example in the case of tennis elbow, or the feet, such as with plantar fasciitis. The increased pressure helps to alleviate any soreness or imbalance caused by injury or tenseness. If you have anxiety or are suffering with stress, a deep tissue massage will help to release the tension you are carrying in your body as a result.

A deep tissue massage typically lasts for 60 minutes to 90 minutes. It is an intense massage technique, but you shouldn’t experience any pain.

What is Indian Head Massage?

Indian head massage is an ancient complementary therapy, based on the ayurvedic system of healing that has been practiced in India over for over a thousand years.

Part of the Hindu health care practice of Ayurveda, Indian head massage focuses on your head, neck and shoulders and was originally used to improve scalp and hair condition. It is a deep massage, where I use a variety of pressure and techniques, including circular massage strokes on your scalp, deep tissue work on your shoulders, and stretching your neck.

What is Energy Healing Massage?

Energy healing is based on the belief that negative psychological patterns left unchecked can eventually result in physical disease or illness and that transforming those negative patterns into positive patterns can lead to healing.
 
I achieve this by scanning the body with meditative awareness, and then according to the needs of the individual, I start to rebalance the energy by stimulating the flow of Chi, and releasing stagnant or blocked energy through lightly touching key points along the meridians, stimulating and strengthening the nerve networks. Within and surrounding your body is a field of energy. The Chinese call this energy “qi” sometimes this energy is referred to as your aura or even the energy of your chakras.
 
As you go about your day, your energy field is constantly reflecting, absorbing, projecting and even deflecting the energy of everything around you. From the energy of other people to the energy of electromagnetic fields and even the energy of conversations and emotional events, your energy field is in a constant state of movement and change That constant state of movement can eventually have an effect on your energy field, causing imbalances. Points in your energy field can be weak or strong, vibrant or lethargic etc…
 
So when were dealing with energy and healing its not a one fits all type of systematic approach I take I listen to the body and feed off the energy I receive to attempt to re balance the energies within and leave you feeling ready to take on the world from a more positive and clearer perspective.

This massage is an intuitive and free-styled massage. I let the energy flow I read the room, your energy, your mood and go with the flow. I allow myself the freedom to make it up as I go unlike other massages that have a particular technique throughout the session that have been studied and learnt during over time.

You can Taylor this massage to your liking and ask for certain parts of the body to be worked for longer than others

FAQs

You arrange a time and day with me via phone or email and I will come to wherever you are with my equipment and conduct the massage session within our agreed timeframe.

I prefer to conduct physical massages with everything off except boxers/knickers so unless you’d prefer to be more clothed. Or less, boxers and knickers on only works best.

No I have all my equipment but if you would prefer to use your own towels do let me know and I won’t bring them along.

Yes I visit hotel rooms, apartments, houses and flats. Also can visit office spaces and work environments if is allowed.
